One of the questions I get asked the most is what are some things to eat for breakfast that are quick and filling. Here is a quick and simple vegan breakfast recipe that is extremely easy! If you have kids trust me they will love this one too. They can help make it. This is a recipe that you can switch up any way you would like. It’s tasty toast that is healthy & vegan!
First you want to clean your fruit of choice. For this version I used strawberries and threw some bananas in.
After thoroughly cleaning your fruit off next you will want to slice the fruit so it can fit on the toast.
Again you can choose whatever fruit you like. Mix it up and have fun with it.
For this recipe I used 4 pieces of whole wheat bread. I then toasted the bread in a skillet. You can do so on the stove top or toaster. Either way is fine.
Next spread 1/2 tablespoon of peanut butter on the toast and spread 1/2 tablespoon of Hershey’s chocolate spread on the toast. 1/2 tablespoon was used on two pieces of bread. Next add your toppings! You can add anything you like. For this recipe I chose 1/3 cup of Hershey’s chocolate chips and 1/3 cup of maple granola.
I always try to use peanut butter when making toast because it makes the toast a complete or (whole)protein. A whole protein is a source that contains an adequate proportion of all nine of the essential amino acids.
It’s that simple! Enjoy!
4 pieces of whole wheat toast (or your choice of bread)
1 cup strawberries (sliced)
1 whole banana (sliced)
1/3 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup granola
