Medical Disclaimer

Last updated October 2026

Vefit Life publishes general information about recovery, mobility and common musculoskeletal complaints. It is written for healthy adults and it is not medical advice. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for an examination by a qualified clinician who knows your history.

Reading this site does not create a clinician-patient relationship. Nothing here should be used to delay seeking professional advice, or to stop a treatment you have been given.

What we do not claim

  • We do not claim that any product, exercise or routine on this site cures, treats, reverses or prevents any disease or condition.
  • We do not provide individualised programming. A routine that suits one person may be inappropriate for another.
  • We do not replace imaging, examination, or the judgement of your own clinician.
  • We are not a pharmacy and we do not sell products. Purchases are made from third-party retailers under their terms.

Get urgent help instead of reading

Stop reading and seek medical care, urgently if the symptoms are severe, if you have:

  • Chest pain, shortness of breath, or pain radiating into the jaw or arm
  • Sudden weakness, numbness, or loss of coordination on one side of the body
  • Loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness in the groin and inner thighs
  • Progressive weakness in one or both legs
  • Fever with severe back pain, or back pain with unexplained weight loss
  • A hot, swollen, painful calf, which can mean deep vein thrombosis
  • Severe pain after significant trauma, or an inability to bear weight
  • Dark urine, severe muscle swelling and weakness after extreme exercise
  • Sudden severe headache, or a headache that is different from your usual pattern

In the US, call 911 for a medical emergency. For non-emergency advice, contact your primary care provider or an urgent care clinic.

Individual variation

Musculoskeletal pain has many causes, and similar symptoms can come from very different structures. What helps one presentation can aggravate another. This is why our articles describe patterns and principles rather than prescribing a protocol for your specific body. If you have a diagnosed condition such as a disc herniation, a labral tear, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis or neuropathy, assume the general advice here does not automatically apply to you and ask the clinician managing your care.

Pregnancy, older adults, and clinical populations

The content on this site is written with healthy working-age adults in mind. If you are pregnant or postpartum, over 65, recovering from surgery, or managing a chronic condition, the risk calculus is different. Ask a clinician before starting any loading programme or using any device described here.

Products and devices

Recovery devices are consumer products, not medical treatments. Claims made by manufacturers are their own, and we do not verify them. Where our articles cite evidence, we try to describe its strength honestly, including when it is weak. A device that is FDA-cleared for one indication is not approved for another, and "FDA approved" is a phrase that appears far more often in marketing than in regulatory reality.

Errors and updates

We try to be accurate and we get things wrong. If you find an error, or if guidance has changed, email [email protected]. Corrections are made in the article and, where the substance changes, noted with an update date.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vefit Life is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the information on this site or from any product purchased through a link on it. You are responsible for your own decisions about your body.
